Kojima teases images from ZOE HD
Hideo Kojima, the mastermind behind the Metal Gear and Zone of the Enders series, has taken to Twitter to tease an image from the new anime opening to the Zone of the Enders HD remake.
The images are fairly self-explanatory, simply revealing the orbital frame Jehuty in the new art style.
The first game in the series, Zone Of The Enders, featured a more realistic look than the second instalment. The Second Runner adopted an anime art style in the cutscenes with the introduction of a new protagonist, Dingo Egret. While an anime introduction may be in the works, it is unclear whether the cutscenes from the first game are being redone to fall in line with the art aesthetic adopted by the second game.
The series became a cult hit for its fast paced action, a phenomenal soundtrack, and the complicated relationships explored in the game between the Runners, A.D.A (the AI), and the mute Oribital Frame Jehuty.
The HD collection is expected to see a release on Xbox 360 and PS3 before the end of 2012, although there is no certainty that it will not be pushed back. However, fans more eagerly await the announcement of Zone Of The Enders 3, which features heavily in all pre-E3 rumours each year.
