Blizzard’s Diablo III confirmed for consoles
In a tweet reply from Blizzard Community Manager Bashiok, it has been confirmed that the dungeon-crawler Diablo III will be coming to consoles as well as PC when it is finally released later this year.
In a response to Twitter user @TanGoIX,, who asked whether he could confirm or deny a console version of Diablo III, the community manager responded:
“Yup. Josh Mosqueira is lead designer for the Diablo console project.”
Rumours surrounding a possible console version of the hottly anticipated Diablo III have been swirling for months, however, it would now appear that there is a dedicated team working towards bringing the title to the home console market.
This adds to the line-up of games which Blizzard will be releasing in 2012, which include their official StarCraft II add-on, Dota All-Stars, and the second instalment in the StarCraft II trilogy, Heart Of The Swarm. This year will also see the release of the next expansion for the MMORPG World Of Warcraft, entitled Mists Of Pandaria.
